This web site is dedicated to the research and flow of information on the Priestnall surname and all of its derivative names.

Research started to prove the rarity of this Cheshire based surname, and it now appears to me that what had started out as a family tree study, is increasingly becoming a one name study.

I have amassed a number of records, but due to the nature of my research, my records have become increasingly date sensitive, with the emphasis on gathering data for others to use in their research.

It is my intention to continually add pages to this site which will include direct and indirect links to the information that has been gathered from both my own research and similar research from other genealogical colleagues with interests in the same family name. The intention is to spread such information amongst all interested parties.

Many thanks go to my fellow researchers who have supplied me with many leaves to put on the tree and without their help these pages would suffer. If you find information which is useful to your own research, please email me.
